To President Bush
Dear President Bush,
These recent events have made me very frightened & shaken
up. I know many people that work in the city & some of
my friends go to school there. I can't explain the shock
& the chills that went through my body as I sat in homeroom
tuesday morning as the announcement described what had just
happened. I felt tears in my eyes & such sadness for NY
& our country. However, the days proceeding the disaster
brought a new light to the world. Such national pride was
shown that it lifted a bit of the sorrow off my shoulders
& never have I been so proud to be an American. Me &
my friends made red white & blue pins & in selling them
& american flag stickers we made $215 in one day. We continue
to raise money to help out in this situation & my heart
goes out to the world right now. Though this has scared
me I know that our country will overcome this & make America
as safe a place to live as it has ever been! You're doing
such a wonderful job helping our country, ! I respect you
greatly.
