WiredKids News

When Wired Kids was first launched in 1998, we knew that kids and teens needed to be the leaders of our content development. While we are focused on keeping kids and teens safe online, and protecting their privacy, we realized that there are many more things kids and teens enjoy and are concerned about. So, our WiredKids and WiredTeens Reporter Team was formed. Guided by well-known journalists and TV newscasters, our preteens and teens find stories that motivate them. Then, with our help, they reach out to the newsmakers and interview them. They are often using video to tell their story.

Interested in becoming a WiredKids or WiredTeens Reporter? Fill out our online volunteer application, get your parents’ okay and a letter from your school. (We also have a special process for home-schooled kids and teens.) We’ll take care of the rest.

Our latest stories deal with online safety and privacy.
