FBI Child Safety

The FBI has jurisdiction over online crimes against children. There are lots of programs run by the FBI to keep kids safe, online & off.

The FBI Innocent Images Unit is the premier law-enforcement agency charged with finding predators in cyberspace. (They call the predators "travelers" since they travel from state to state to meet their victims.)

While Innocent Images also handles an occasional child pornography matter, their main focus is on the people who lure & sexually exploit children online. Innocent Images was formed in 1993 as a result of the first reported cyberabduction, that of a young boy from Maryland.
